EuPathDB is a collection of web-accessible databases containing genomic-scale datasets associated with the eukaryotic pathogens that causes diseases like sleeping sickness and malaria. We are one of five Bioinformatics Resource Centers (BRC) developed with funding from the National Institutes of Health. As a BRC, we receive genome sequence data and annotations, as well as functional genomics data, and integrate it into EuPathDB databases. We develop analytical resources, bioinformatics tools and web-services to analyze the data and offer our tools to the international scientific community through our web sites.
We are a team of approximately 25 biologists and software developers divided between the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa, and the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
